SOMEONE PLEASE HELP.......My great grandparents own the home that my grandparents currenly live in. My grandparents name has never been added to the deed. My great grandparents have been dead for over 30 years now. How do my grandparents' add their name to the deed? I'm not sure if there is a will granting them sole ownership. Can they file for an executor of the estate? What can they do?
Kim you really need an attorney
They will ask for some documents to prove the relation and also they need to validate that some one else did not claim this property

it is a very old case. you need to collect death certificate of your great grandfather as a necessary document. also affidevit of heirship will be required.
hi,
if they are mentioned in the will that they are suppose to get the real estate/house then it is technically willed to them. If not... They need to contact a local real estate attorney to do a records search to see if a probate estate was ever opened for the greatgrandparents and prepare a deed to transfer title of the property to the beneficiaries of the estate, presumably the grandparents.
