what to do if mortgage company does not do loan modifications and no money and bad credit to refinance?

we tried to do a loan modification with residential mortgage llc here in anchorage, alaska and was told that they do not do loan modifications. i am 5 months behind on my mortgage and just recently started working/got hired again because i had lost my job. my credit is bad because of losing my job and getting behind on payments. my interest rate is 8% or 8.25%. i live in rural alaska. i can't refinance because of my credit and i do not have money for another downpayment or closing. is there anything i can do to try not to lose my house. i am trying to get caught up with my mortgage payments. hoping by november/december i will be current. is there anything i can do other than try to get my credit improved again? thank you
First thing you need to do is call yoru current lender and ask for loan modification. From you message it looks like you have nto contacted them yet.

Is Residential Mortgage LLc your current lender?

Hi sunnyca2009

I did speak with Residential Mortgage. They are my lender and the head loan officer said that they do not do loan modifications. They gave me basically two weeks to get caught up for the five months I am behind. I feel like I am stuck at this loan with a high interest and high monthly. The job I just got doesn't even pay our mortgage in a month. I really do not know what to do.
