remove deceased husband from warranty deed

Posted on: 08th Nov, 2009 04:52 am
My husband died in June and I would like to remove his name from the deed. I added his name when we got married.

My question is this: What would be my first step - can I do this on my own or would I have to go through an attorney?

In each of our wills, we left each other their portion.

Thanks for any and all help. I need this info ASAP.

Thanks,
shadyglady
You can do it on your own or with an Attorney ... an Attorney always works best, but is more expensive. The folks at "pre-paid legal services" (www.prepaidlegal.com) should enable you to accomplish your goal with reduced costs.
