I have been separted from my wife for 10 plus years. We begain reconciliation several yeras ago and I moved back into our home approximatly 4 months ago. We decided to refinace to pay off some bills and make repairs and up grades. Will there be a problem because of the period of time that I have been back home?
No it should not matter. Is your name currently on the deed and/or mortgage?
Yes it has from the original purchase date.
Should not be a problem. Your driver's license should show the present address as proof you have moved back in.
Last year a lender may not have known you were ever gone. These days most lenders have you sign an IRS Form 4506 to verify income reported to the IRS the past two years. To get the tax transcripts the past two years, they need the address under which the tax returns were filed. Not a big deal. Just a suggestion to let the loan officer know everyhting upfront and disclose everything truthfully as it actually happened and you should be ok.
