i have 8 years left on my mortgage which is down to 63000 priciple is about 547 a month how can i lower the years left ? how can i pay a bit more to lower the years left of the mortgage?

my mortgage is 1060 dollars taxes included in the mortgage and my priciple is about 547 and interest is 245 say don't know exactly and the other is escrow so it comes to the top total,,,, now i have 8 years left on paying the 63000 that is left and i'd like to know the options on paying it down quicker? and how would i do that and i'm looking to save some years off the loan if i could thanks.

Can only answer your question if you tell us the interest rate or the balance the mortgage started at. You told us the principal and interest, but, can not compute anything unless you tell us the present rate on your mortgage or the balance the mortgage started at when you got the mortgage.

With one of those pieces of information, I can tell you how much extra to pay monthly if you tell me how fast you want to pay off, or, tell me how much extra monthly you are willing to pay and i can tell you how fast that will pay offf.
