filed divorce 2 months before buying home, he signed off and title is in married woman as her sole and seprate property, home bought with my medical settlement for medical only no income was included and he signed deed he is not interested in my home because how I suffered, does it protect me from his adult kids if he dies where they can not come and sue me for my home? they are greedy kids and he feels he protecting me from them. Am I protected?
Hi goodytruckgirl ,

Welcome to Mortgagefit,

If your ex has signed off the title then I do not find any reason for the children to come after new home. They can come after only if you have got the ancestral property from your husband's ancestors. But in this case the home is financed from your own money and thus I do not find any reason why your ex's children would come after your home.

You are protected.....do not worry.....

Feel free to ask any further query if you have.........
