My parents are now deceased and their mortgage was in their name while the Grand Deed also included me. Living in the home and paying the mortgage. Can the mortgage take the home just because of that? Mortgage is current and will continue to be.
Hi ccnis,
If the mortgage lender receives his payments on time, then he won't foreclose the property. You can refinance the mortgage in your name. This will help you getting the mortgage transferred in your name. Thus, you will become the owner of the property and the mortgage.
