we filed chapter 7 bankrupty 2 1/2 years ago. we thought the mortgage was reaffirmed. we fell behind last year, but then caught up. now every time i send citimortage a full payment, they put it on the account under unapplied funds.
we tried to refinance the mortage, but were told we have no intrest in the house. the lender couldn't "find" the documentation on the house it self.
i don't know what to do.

Hi shylo,
If you haven't reaffirmed the mortgage, then you're not personally liable for the mortgage dues. As you don't have any personal liability, the lender won't be ready to refinance the mortgage for you to get a lower interest rate. If you want to get rid of the property, you can simply surrender the property to the lender. He will foreclose it but won't come after you for the deficient balance.
