Help Understanding interspousal deed transfer

Posted on: 11th Dec, 2010 12:28 am
My husband is asking me to sign an interspousal deed transfer. We live in a community property state. It is because we did not qualify for the loan we need and he is using his inheritence along with lines of credit from his separate property to purchase the home. I am wondering if there is a way to word it so that I will have claim to any increase in property value over the years if we were to divorce.
If you sign an inter-spousal transfer deed, you won't have any claims over the property. It will be considered as the sole and separate property of your husband.
