I have applied and been approved for a home loan. My offer has been accepted and we are on the way to close, however, my lender called me today and informed me that I have two judgements against me. One from a landscape company that took me to small claims court, won a judgement, and I paid them immediately. The other one is with the Department of Justice. I do have a debt as I was a former federal employee and owe over $75k, but I am on a payment plan enforced by a judgement where I must pay 10% of my gross monthly income from work towards repayment and I am doing that. The judgement occurred in 2009. Will I still qualify for my FHA loan?
Hi Guest!
Welcome to forums!
As you've paid off one of your judgments and you're in a payment plan to pay off the other judgment, I don't think you'll face problems in getting a FHA loan. I will suggest you to contact the local lenders and start applying for FHA loans.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
