I have my discharge papers from bankruptcy 7. My mortgage company said I need a reformation. What is it and how do I get it? When I filed my bankruptcy,I did not put my mortgage on it.
Hi doraMcKinney!

Are you sure you haven't included the mortgage in your bankruptcy filing? I will suggest you to check your bankruptcy discharge papers as well as contact your bankruptcy attorney in order to find out whether or not the mortgage was included.
If you haven't included the mortgage, then you won't need a reaffirmation. You can keep on paying the normal mortgage payments. However, if the mortgage was included in it, then you will have to reopen your bankruptcy filing and sign a reaffirmation agreement. This will make you personally liable for the mortgage payments. Then you can make normal payments to the lender.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
