I had to amend my taxes due to a fraudulent tax preparer. When I found out she had filed my taxes wrong (she would not give me my papers back) I had to amend my taxes in order to get a home mortgage. The lender will use the amended returns (some lenders will not), but the problem I am facing is I had to amend two years. One year has been completed by the IRS (in 6 weeks) and the other year has not been completed (it is now 12 weeks). Therefore, the uncompleted year is not showing up on my IRS transcript which is now required for a home loan. The deadline to get the USDA loan (which pays the down payment) is September 30, 2013. It is now September 26, 2014. I have been calling the IRS and they say the only thing they can do is assign me a tax advocate which takes days. Is there any way or anyone that I can contact to get an emergency amended tax transcript done in a day or so? If the amended year does not show up on my transcript, I will lose the USDA Loan
Welcome honeybea,
I can understand your situation but there is hardly anything that can be done. I don't think there is any way out which will help you in getting an emergency amended tax transcript.
