My wife and I applied jointly for a mortgage loan. The loan officer at a national bank removed my wife and income when she forwarded it for processing. Five months later we learned what she had done and I had to rush to show even with my income alone we could qualify. We were approved one day to late. The seller had walked and we lost the deal of a life time. Home appraised at $90,000 we had the price down to 76,000 with seller paying 2300 in closing costs, plus $6500 coming back from uncle sam. The loan officer stated she did it becuase my wife only works 36 hours a week and that is considered parttime. My wife a nurse of 18 yrs with 830 credit score has always worked 36 hrs. What options do we have?
