what happens to a auto lease agreement after death,my father in law has passed away and I would like to know if his wife is liable for it,her name does not appear on the lease.
She has receieved a letter asking her to sign it, so that the car can be taken and sold at auction,Many thanks in advance

The wife will not be responsible for the auto lease as her name does not appear on the lease agreement. Before signing any document, make sure that she reads it and understands it properly. You can contact an attorney and he may help her in understanding the document.
