Well, I just had a score watch alert. Few years back I had co-signed an auto loan for my then girlfriend and now she has missed a payment which is going to affect my credit now!! She didn’t even bother to tell me that she had missed the payment. I just need to know what I should do now.
hi carrey,
well, you're in a tough situation now. you will have to pay off that payment immediately to reduce the negative affect on your credit report. when you separated from your girlfriend, you should have asked her to refinance the loan in her name solely and remove your name from the docs.
thanks

Hi Carrey!
Welcome to forums!
I agree with the opinion of James Hogg. You should have asked her to refinance the mortgage in her name when you separated from her. However, now that things are different, you will have to pay the loan or you will have to ask her to sell off the vehicle and pay off the loan in full asap.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
