Bad Mortgage agent - how to get back to him?

Posted on: 10th Jul, 2012 03:51 pm
i recently bought my new place and the entire experience was ruined by this as####$# of the agent.
1. first he delayed the process for ever (he didnt do anything for 2 months and when the date for escrow closing was near started to do some something).
2. asked me to sign and resign hundreds of documents over and over again (same documents)
3. he got my business by quoting a rate quite lower to the competition and convinced me with his sweet talks about credit he could give me later on. he completely changed later and gave me a much higher rate (i guess he made tons of commission at my expense). i am ready to curse this moron with bad luck for the rest of his life.
4. i had got 9k towards the closing cost from the seller and he used only 7k of it and closed the deal.. so he wasted 2k of the money i had negotiated for.
5. i trusted this %^&^(*&*(* and now i want to take action against this guy and want to spread the word around as much as possible to avoid this mortgage company all together. the company's name is purpose funding.. avoid it at any cost...
6. i want to make sure no one goes through the stressful times this moron caused me.
7. last but most important; how can i get back to this guy (if possible). i heard from someone that if i refinance with someone asap he will lose all the commission he made from my deal? is this true. how does the refi impact me?

thanks guys for hearing me out here,
Welcome supernova,

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience with us. This will be of great help to a lot of people who are thinking of taking out a loan from this company. Nevertheless, you can contact an attorney and take his help in knowing whether or not you can take any actions against the agent. I don't think you will be able to refinance the loan immediately. You may have to wait 8-10 months in order to get a refinance.

Hello supernova,

Great experiences! Some mortgage brokers specialize in these professions and would do a much better job than a typical big bank loan.

Thats a long wait for refinance.. This agent of mine promised me to do a refi at a lower rate within 90 days of the loan signing. I dont want to get involved in the legal hassle but I certainly want to leave as many negative feedbacks about him and his company to save others.. can you guys tell me whats the best place to do so? Also if anyone can recommend an incredible Mortgage consultant who puts customer first would be a great help.
