Bank foreclosed home

Posted on: 22nd Nov, 2013 01:04 am
The bank foreclosed the home but has not sold it off. So, I was living in it. Now one person turned up and as a tenant to help the bank maintain the property. The property is owned by the bank and this person is forcing me to pay rent. There is no agreement between us or between me and and the lender. Am I liable to pay rent?
Unless you have an agreement with the lender, you should not make any kind of payment toward the house or to that person. Clarify it with your lender and then consider making the payments.

Hi Guest,

I agree with Niicss that unless there is a rental agreement with the lender, you are not liable for paying anything to anyone.

If you do not have any agreement with the lender, you are in no way responsible to pay the rent.
