i got behind on my mortgage payments along with other debts and had to fill a chapter 13 since there was there was no money to catch things up and avoid foreclosure. my mortgage arrears, penalties and foreclosure atty fees were in with my chapter 13. after i filed the chapter 13, my mortgage company offered me options to modify my loan and remove it from bankruptcy but i've been waiting for about nine weeks now for an answer but i've continued to make my mortgage payments monthly. with the current bankruptcy i don't think can get a refinance. do i have some other modification options in case my mortgage co. does not do one for me?
Hi sebomaitheos!
Welcome to forums!
It is your lender who would consider your loan modification request and decide whether he would accept your request or not. As nine weeks have already passed, I would suggest you to get in touch with your lender and check out whether they would offer you a loan modification or not.
Feel free to ask if you have further queries.

Hi sebomaitheos!
I am sure you have called your lender to et an update in the last nine weeks. Loan modification is a waiting game and you are at the discretion of your lender. Just delay your payment by few days and see if your lender will respond .
