I've been a stay at home mom for the past 10 years and am now getting a divorce.$ I would like to buy a house. I have equity in a vacation home. Looking for a private investor to loan me $180,000. I am looking for a job but need to make a move fast. My credit score is good I just don't have an income. I will have a settlement from the divorce and use that plus child support to make my payments until I find a job.
I don't know where to begin looking for a loan. Please help???

First and foremost, I would say SLOW DOWN! A divorce is enough stress on its own that you don't want to be going through the stress of homebuying at the same time. Rent an apartment for now,
Get all of the money that's due to you in the settlement tucked away into a bank account get a consistent child support payment track record (i.e. be sure your ex pays on time every time). After things have settled down in about a year, start looking for a home.
