my boyfriend is getting divorce and we want to buy a house were we are living now. should we wait until the final divorce? or he can put my name but i do not have a social security number.

You will require your social security number in order to get a mortgage. In my opinion, your boyfriend should wait till his divorce settlement is final and then apply for a mortgage to buy a property.
