We filed Chapter 7 as we were living beyond our means. There are two auto loans in our names and we're planning to reaffirm one of our loans. However, both the loans are delinquent by 2-3 months. In such a situation, can I reaffirm my loan?
Though you're delinquent on your mortgage payments, you have filed bankruptcy. Thus, you may be able to reaffirm the loan. You should ask your bankruptcy attorney to contact the lender and sign the reaffirmation agreement.
Welcome Sunday,
As far as I know, your delinquency won't have a negative effect on your reaffirmation. Nor will it stall the process. You can contact the lender and the bankruptcy attorney and discuss about your reaffirmation.
