chase is changing the terms of my home equity loan, is this legal?
the biggest change they have actually told me is they have changed the way the interest is calculated.
and now when i make extra principal payments they take some of that and pay it towards interest.
chase took over wamu, and it's been downhill ever since, the worst is that chase keeps making changes, and not telling me about it.
i have complained to the comptroller of currency, but i'm not sure if they actually care.
so if the bank is doing something illegal, who do i complain to?

sign1in check your orginal loan papers and see what conditiosn do they have.
They cannot just change thigns unless you are not making paymnet or late in your payment.

I never miss payments an I'm never late, I'll check that paperwork again, but some of the changes are subtle.
I've complained to the Comptroller of the Currency, and haven't gotten a response from them, the WA AG's office is so quick, I wish they could handle the problems.

Hi sign1in,
Chase cannot change terms without informing you or giving you a written documentation. I would suggest you to speak to a lawyer and take his suggestions in this issue.
Thanks
