Am I allowed to apply for a loan modification if i recently filed for bankruptcy, Chapter 7.

Did you reaffirm the loan with your lender after you filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy? If yes, then you can apply for a loan modification. However, it would be the discretion of the lender whether or not he would accept your request.

It is at decretion of the lender, most lenders don't allow it.
