MORTGAGE CHARGE OFF

Posted on: 14th Feb, 2010 11:06 am
I FOUND OUT 2/10/10 THAT MY MORTGAGE WAS CHARGED OFF PENDING THE LENDER'S CLAIM AGAINST THEIR TITLE INSURANCE COMPANY. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY NOTICE OF ANYTHING AND ONLY FOUND OUT WHEN I TRIED TO ACCESS MY ACCOUNT ON LINE. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN ?
Hi ROXY,

Charged off means that the lender has sent your account to collections and he would henceforth not collect the dues from you. The collection agency will in turn collect the dues from you. You will have to get in touch with the collection agency and pay off the dues to them.

Thanks
