Backing out on a contract on the closing date

Posted on: 05th Jan, 2010 03:43 pm
I am selling a house and it is under contract on the day of the closing buyer backed out of the deal for no apperent reason (besides want to move now with the boy friend). I know that i am going to get the earnest/option money however the question is can i file law suit for breach of contract and go after the buyer or it's not even worth it?
Hi ketulshah!

Welcome to forums!

I don't think it will be worth suing the buyer as he/she has canceled the deal before closing. It would rather be better if you can look out for other buyers who are interested in buying your property.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
