I received a verbal bid from an electrician for $350 to do some work in my yard. He finished the job and sent me a bill for $1,400. Nothing was ever signed by me. When I called him to calming dicuss he flipped out and told me "It is what it is. If you don't payit I will come over and pull out what I did or put a lien on your house."
Can he put a lien on my house if I pay the $350 that was originally quoted to me?
How can I confirm that he is a licensed contractor?

Hi crocha,
There was no written agreement between you and the electrician regarding $350. Thus, if the total costs for the electrical work was $1400, then , you need to pay him that amount. If you pay anything less than that, then the electrician may place a lien on your property.
Thanks
