Mortgage Loan Default

Cosigner lost job and is leaving me hang out to dry for mortgage loan and WILL NOT help me. Hosue is basically going to be foreclosed on, I did not do much to alleviate situation as i would have needed her help in doing so... So what course of actions can i do without her without taking to much of a monetary hit overall?
rather than let it go to foreclosure, why not try to sell - even if it's a short sale? you can attempt a deed in lieu of foreclosure as well. in any event, you'll be out some dollars financially, and your credit will, of course, suffer.

thats what i want to try and do...however to a short sale and or deed.. do i not need her to sign papers as.....i dont have any communication with her which is making the matter more difficult.

without question, the lines of communication need to open back up. you can't accomplish much of anything without the involvement of your coborrower.

you need to go out of your way to get this done.

well she goes out of her way not to communicate with me, i more or less can get in contact with her, but basically she does not want to assist and basically just keeps screwing me, (which is funny cause this is actually her doing) i would think there is a way around this, beside suing her, actually that is the only way would it not be?

thanks for your help with this, i more or less though this would end better, but apparently its not and i am getting screwed.

the "more or less" needs to be more "more" than "less."

suing her will only make things more contentious, don't you think? what makes you think she'd cooperate then?

good point.. i think i need to win the lottery :) I am actually going to talk to someone about doing a short sale today, got papers in the mail so not much time really before lender goed through with forecloseure and establishing a date for sheriff sale. my fault for thinking i can work something out easily... live and learn (the hardway) i guess would be the quote for today.
