Hi WEBERR,
In order to place a lien on your property, the creditor will have to file a lawsuit at the court and get a judgment. If the creditor gets the judgment, he'll be able to place a lien on your property.

if mine state has a homestead protection from creditors law can they still put a judgement on my house?
Hi WEBERR!
Welcome to forums!
If you have a homestead protection, then your creditors will not be able to place a lien against your property.

Hi Guest,
If a lien has been already placed on the property, then you can't do anything about it. You will have to pay off the lien in full and get a lien release certificate. The law will not automatically protect you. You'll have to apply for homestead protection in order to get it.
Thanks
