I installed very expensive crown molding myself. Can I take that with me to my new home?
Thanks!
Thanks!
I meant to ask if I could take out the crown molding from my house that is being foreclosed upon...for the purpose of taking it to my next home?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Hi Chipshot!
Welcome to forums!
Well, this will be completely the discretion of the lender. As the property is getting foreclosed, it will be better if you could contact your lender and get to know whether or not he will allow you to take the crown molding with yourself.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

No, not unless you have the Lenders permission. Anything fastened to the property stays with the property.
Once something is attached to the house by nail or screw, it becomes a "fixture" and part of the house. Thus, you can't take it without written permission.
Your home is being transferred to somebody else and molding is not a part of equity, so lenders permission is only the way to take it with you.
