Hello we are passed trying to pay our mortgage. Just received a Letter of sale for Jan 4, 2012. . I do not work, My husb has worked on an off this year. Previous year sucked. So here we are thour home goes up for sale Jan. Looks like a Deed in lieu is our only option. Credit is already bad. How do I begin with the deed in lieu. Have tried calling the lender but have not received an answer. Do I have to deal with them directly for the Deed in Lieu.?
not all the lenders offer deed in lieu of foreclosure. you can approach your lender directly.
Hi Dntrptr,
It will be better if you could contact your lender in order to get a deed in lieu of foreclosure to get rid of the property. The lender will look into your financial situation and if he is convinced, then you will be able to get a deed in lieu of foreclosure. In case, your lender does not agree to it, then you can take the help of a lawyer to negotiate with your lender.
Thanks
