If I am trying to do a deed in lieu, would it be to my advantage to hire an attorney or should I deal with the bank myself
Hi lckgone,
You can negotiate with your lender alone in order to get a deed in lieu of foreclosure. The lender will judge your financial situation based upon your hardship letter and let you know whether or not your request will be accepted. If you are not comfortable in negotiating with your lender, then you can contact an attorney and take his help.
Thanks
