I have been fighting with the bank for about 1 year now for a loan modification due to late mortgage payments. Now I am so fed up with them dragging their feet I want to get rid of the house. How do I go about filing for a Deed In Lieu?
hi johny,
you can contact the lender and apply for a deed in lieu of foreclosure. in order to do so, you need write a hardship letter. depending upon your financial hardship, the lender will let you know whether or not he would accept your request for a deed in lieu of foreclosure.
thanks
