I lost my job and fell behind on my mortgage then the bottom fell out of the work field. My home went to the court house steps but did not sell. The home was financed be GMAC and I was given 12 months redemtion to purchase it back. My question to you is, When they put this home up for sale, and it sells for less than what I owe on it do they have the right to sue for the difference.
Hi Guest,
Welcome to mortgage fit,
They have all the right to come after you if they could not get the owed amount after foreclosing the property. But in some states this law is exempted and lender can only collect the amount from the sale of the property and not more than that.............You need to check out in your state which law is prevailing....
Feel free to ask any further query if you have.......
