Hi everyone,
Does anyone know whether a lender can pursue me to the UK if it gets a deficiency judgment against me? What about things like condo fees? I'm a US citizen but live overseas so all my assets are foreign and jointly-held with my British husband, who is not on the mortgage.
Any information will be gratefully accepted.
Thanks!

Hi cynthiasc,
Lenders will not pursue you for the deficient amount if you're presently living in UK. However, if you have some other property in USA, then the lender can place a lien on it by filing a lawsuit against you.
Take care.

Thank you Sara - it helps to know where we stand.
You're welcome, Cynthia!!! :-)
