Once I am delinquent on my payments can the lender come after my Savings Account, 401K, and/or Garnishee my wages??? This is purely a business decision for me, the house will not be worth what I paid for it for another 10 years, and I am not staying in California that long. I am going to walk either with Deed In Lieu or just palin foreclosure.
Hi rvj!

The lender won't be able to come after your retirement savings. However, if you don't pay off the dues, then the lender can file a lawsuit against you and get a judgment in order to garnish your savings account or your wages. However, if you go for a deed in lieu of foreclosure, then the lender will forgive the dues.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
