deed in lieu of forclosure

Posted on: 03rd Nov, 2010 08:00 pm
I am too far behind on my payments to catch them up and not working.
I have already been to court and cannot recapture the outstanding balance on the home loan, also I cannot pay the state taxes that are due on this property to prevent forclosure by the state...I simply want to give the property back to the bank and walk away from this property.

how can I do this asap ?

Welcome gandalf,

You can contact the lender and apply for a deed in lieu of foreclosure by informing him about your financial situation. You can write a hardship letter for the same. If the lender is convinced about your financial hardship, he will agree to your request.
