I have so many debts I sit and cry most of the time. I have 2 rental properties, one house to be a rental and my own home. I have been making payments on all of these for the past two years by borrowing on credit cards. Now I have over $170,000. in credit card debt. I became ill and lost my job two years ago and my husband alone has been working but he is now 65 and I am 60. I just don't know what to do or who could help tell us what we should do. Can you help us? I stopped making payments on almost everything two months ago because to keep on borrowing money wasn't doing any good. I began to have to borrow money to make payments on the borrowed money. I have made a lot of very bad decisions in the last two years, but being ill and on medication I have done the best that I could do. Now it is to much. Please can you help or direct me to someone that can. I am so scared and I don't know which way to turn. Thanks for your time, Judy
Hey jgents,

I can understand that you are going through a bad phase right now. But don't be impatient. You have mentioned that you have stopped payments on your mortgage and other debts two months ago. You should immediately contact your lender and try for a deed in lieu.

Once the deed in lieu is completed, you can then go for a debt consolidation in order to pay off the credit card debts.
