I will be seeking a DIL, but I heard that you have to have it on the market for 90 days for sale before they will consider it. Can I put a sign in the yard "for sale by owner" or do I have to have it listed through a Realtor?
Hi unclebuck!
Welcome to forums!
It's better if you could list the property with the realtor. There are chances that you could get a large number of buyers to look at your property if you go through a realtor.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

yes it would be better for u to put a sign for sale in yard as it would be helpful for you..i also do agree with Sussane...
inform your lender about plan of short sale. otherwise they will not consider it for DIL
