Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure

Posted on: 20th Feb, 2009 06:09 pm
if i apply for the "deed in lieu of foreclosure" how much time do i have to vacate the property? will i be able to negotiate with the lender? i will need time to find a place and will also like for my kids to finish the school year.
Hi haichayera,

It will depend upon the lender as to how much time he would give you to leave the property. You can definitely negotiate with him so that he can give you some extra time in order to find out a place to live in.

Thanks
