How can I get my foreclosure change to a deed in lieu on my credit report?
what's the truth of the matter?
Hi tishag,
If your property was sold at a foreclosure auction, then it will be mentioned in your credit report. You will not be able to change it to deed in lieu. However, if there has been an error on the part of the lender who has reported your deed in lieu of foreclosure as a normal foreclosure, then you can dispute it and get it changed to a deed in lieu.

Do I need to dispute it through the credit bureau or through the mortgage company
You will have to contact the credit bureau and dispute the listing in your credit report. You may have to write a letter to the credit bureaus in this regard.
Back to George's point...if you have a foreclosure then it is what it is. You cannot change a foreclosure into a deed in lieu.
