she was gone for 3 to 4 years before they got divorced then he filed for divorce and he was granted that, but becasue she has no financial responsibility over the house and that she has been out of his life for 12 years now how can he take her off of the deed? we try to hire attorneys and they said that we have to find her, why pay for an atty?
instead of paying for an attorney, i guess you could pay for a private detective. maybe there's family, friends, etc. that you could contact in an effort to reach her?
i'm a bit surprised at the lawyers' reticence. i'd think that the courts would allow the posting of a public notice of the anticipated sale (or something like that) which would allow you to move on. and of course, if this is something that's viable, the lawyers ought to be right on top of it.
