Thank you so much for your quick reply- We did sign a contract and filled it at the local courthouse, but we did not notice that the double wide is no where on the contract. It just said that we are paying 55,000 just for the land. when I questioned her she said the land and the double wide are all together- but the court house shows she pays taxes on the real property that is on the land, and we pay taxes on the land. When I was trying to look in to it, the people at the court house said they cant give any legal advice-which I was just asking them for facts. This is a small area, and I think the ladys daughter works in the tax ass. office. Is there any way to find out whos name is on the title of double wide or if there is one?
Hi tdphillips,
You can contact the local county recorder's office and check out as to who is the owner of the property. You can even contact a title search company and they may help you in knowing as to who is the owner of the property.
Thanks,
Jerry
