STOP! STOP! STOP!
Stop just giving away 3% in Realtor Points to a Buyer's Agent for doing a job that any realtor can do! Stop elevating them and what they do to this wierd undeserved level they seemed to have achieved in consumer's minds when they are just a step above car sales!
It's amazing to see people shop like crazed maniacs over an .125% in a tax deductable interest rate on a loan which they won't have more than 4 yrs before they refi or sell. BUT they will then lay down without a word questioning the realtor points and allow the Realtor to RIP THEIR FACE OFF THEIR HEAD and get away with taking 3% =$12,000 of TAX FREE EQUITY which is equal to $22,000 of their Gross Pay on a $400,000 purchase!
Consumers, are you brain dead? It's as simple as searching a few key words on line to find thousands of Realtors who are every bit as compentent or even better that those FULL STICKER commission realtors.
Just search your city EX: Los Angeles Realtor Rebate or New York Realtor Rebate or what ever city you want to purchase a home in and use one of those thousands of realtors to save big time.
DO NOT listen to other realtors who say they somehow don't offer the save service. This is a tactic to create doubt so they can charge you the FULL STICKER 3% of YOUR equity.
Listen, what they do is NOT rocket science! The are not proforming plasic surgury on your face! They are reading off a menu called the MLS and have a Lock Box code to open doors.
Stop believing they are something they are not! If they will sell a home for $100,000 to get $3,000 commission they why can't they do the same for a $400,000 which is usually far less work?
Think about it! I am not selling anything, I'm just hoping I can save some poor family from giving away their future retirement money of their child's college money in equity!
