Both me and my wife have lost our jobs while in the 1st week of escrow. Do you think we will still close?
Hi Timmy, Im sorry to say that if both of you lost your jobs while its still in escrow then it will most likely fall out of escrow. Im really sorry about your situation.
If your loan has been underwritten and the verification of employment was done, then you are ok.
The bigger question is whether you want to proceed with a mortgage if you have no income to make the payments. If anything, you should be looking for a way to get out of it.
