I have just received a civil action suit against me as a personal representation of my late husbands estate. The condo association is reqesting association fees of 22,000.00 plus attorney fees. I am in the process of obtaining a lawyer for this but my question is can they hold me personally accoutable for this? My name is not on the mortgage only on the deed and I never lived in the codo. The condo is in Miami and there are soooooooo many for sale it just won't sell The attorney for the condo association sent this to me.
evelyn as an owner of the unit, it would appear that you are, indeed, liable for the fees. perhaps you can obtain relief with the help of your attorney.
