I had filed chapter 7 bankruptcy and I have some distressed property. Ho can I get rid of the property with out a involving a realtor or a short sell. The first mortgage is discharged but not the second mortgage.
Hi Guest,
You can surrender the property to the second mortgage lender and he will sell off the property in order to recover the dues. Thus, you won't have to worry about the property any more.
Thanks,
Jerry

Hi Guest,
Jerry is right in saying so. You can directly contact the lender if you wish to get rid of the property. There is no need to contact a realtor for this.
