I own 60% of a home, half left to me and the other half split amongs siblings due to father's in testate death status. Nearly thirty years out, the house in in serious need of repair to t the tune of about $200,000 and is in lien status. I have a cash buyer but they do not want to sell. Can I do a forced sale? If so, how? he buyer will not wait too long and the lien will be entered in a month.
Only a Judge can say "yes" to your question, so you'll need an Attorney, and it's going to take a while.
Hi inamess,
You can go for a partition lawsuit in order to get rid of the property. If you win the lawsuit, then the court will order the sale of the property. You can contact an attorney and he may help you with the process.

In reality you cannot force the sale but rather get a good attorney and hope the court will grant your request.
