Trying not to file

Bank sued me to be able to foreclose and get my house I guess since I couldn't make payment for awhile. Now I can and I think the bank is trying to serve me papers. If I avoid the server will it buy me some more time in my house, while I try to keep the house since I now can make payments again. Have small business And took big hit with the G.R. but have slaved and built it back up. Should I take the papers next time this guy bangs on my door. BTW the bank has always used reg. mail for deliv. any paperwork about this. How do they know I ever received anything? Thanks.
