My house will be auctioned off soon and i was wondering if i can sell my detached carport? it's not attached to the house and was purchased by my grandparents and this was they're house. ?? can someone let me know if this is okay to do?
Yes, you can sell off your 'carport'. However, the house must be functional during the auction.
Hi DRAY,
You may sell off the carport on your own. But to be on the safer side, it will be better if you could get in touch with the lender and take his permission in this regard.
Thanks

Anything that has been bolted or fastened to the property or land, is now part of the land/property/house. Example, you purchase a lime tree at home depot. As you drive it home in your vehichle, it is personal property. When you set it down in the lawn, still in the planting pot, it is still personal property. Once you place it into the ground, it is now affixed to your land, and you cannot remove them as it is real property. Once the tree make limes, those limes then become personal property, but the tree itself, remains real property. Same goes for the car port, but you can ask the lender, if they would allow you to take it.
