i have been unable to get my second mortgage lender to accept the amount of payoff offered by my first lender, so i'm being forced into bankruptcy instead of the deed in lieu i was trying to do. i have had to move out of state for a job and leave the home, but am unable to sell it. i hate to foreclose and have to rent for the rest of my life, but i don't know what else to do, since neither lender is being cooperative. should i file bankruptcy to keep from being saddled by unpaid debts?
Hello Doris,
The reality is that FHA-insured mortgages DID NOT see the dramatic rise in defaults that other areas did...and as such they have minimual changes to their guidelines even in this market.

hi doris,
you can once again negotiate with your lender for a deed in lieu of foreclosure in order to get rid of the property. also, you can take the help of an attorney in order to negotiate with the lender in this regard. in case, none of these work out, then you can think of filing bankruptcy.
thanks
